Processing Black and White Film
Firstly you need to add 300ml of developer (per spool) and shake for 10 seconds for every minute for 20minutes. Then pour the developer down the drain and wash out the tank.
secondly you need to add 300ml of stop (per spool) and shake for 10 seconds and leave for a minute. Stop chemicals can be reused so you can keep it for next time and just wash out your tank.
Now add 300ml (per spool) to your tank shake for 10 seconds and leave for 6 minutes. But the longer you leave the fix in the tank the better. Also with fix you can keep it for your next lot of images.
Lastly leave the tap running water that isnt too cold but not to hot over your tank for 20 minutes.
After processing your images you can take your negatives out of your tank. wipe them down with shimmy leather but be soft because you dont want to scratch your images, apply hanging clips to the top and the bottem of your negatives and leave to dry for 20minutes in the negative dryer.

Loading Film Into Tank
Loading Film Into Tank
Before you turn out the lights, get everything you’ll need together right in front of you so you won’t have to fumble around in the dark. In addition to your tank, reel, and film, you’ll also need a pair of scissors and a bottle opener to get the film out of its canister. Also, if you have a dead roll of film or some you don’t mind destroying, it’s a tremendously good idea to practice loading the film onto the reel in the light before you do it for real. It might be a little tricky at first.

- Have all the pieces of the tank out in front of you.
- Turn off the lights.
- Useing pliers rip off the top of the canister.
- Take the film out. Handle it around the edges at all times.
- Feed the end of the film into the little tabs that mark the beginning of the reel. Make sure it’s in by a few centimeters.
- Twist the reel back and forth. There are little ball bearings under the tabs that serve to grip the film and draw it in. Keep going until all the film is on the reel, then cut off the last portion that’s still connected to the spindle, which can now be thrown away.
- Put the reel into the tank over the center column. Screw the lid on straight and tight.
- Turn the lights back on.
pinhole suntrails
This images is amazing, i really wish i could do a pinhole like this and for it to actually work. I will be putting 3 pinhole cameras around my area to try and capture something like this. I will be leaving the first one for a week, my second one for a month, and my third one for 3 months. I will see how they turn out and then post them on here. Fingures crossed they work !
Pinholes
Weve done this this week, contact print. This is where we change a negative image into a positive image. to do this we had to place light sensitive paper shinny side up onto a contact board then we placed the pinholes onto the paper shinny side down. After this we puched down the glass on the contact board and shone the enlarger light onto the image and that creates a positive image. I will be adding some of my own work onto here very shortly.
justin Quinnell
Justin Quinnell is by far the most intresting pin hole photographer iv seen. He dose most of his pinhole images with a miniture pinhole camera in his mouth. although you would think that the images would not work (which is what i thought) they actually work very well and show alot of detail ! Like this one below. This image makes me laugh so much, i think this is the best one out of his images:
Pinhole Photography
So far out of our 4 week project i would have to say that pinhole has been the best one by far. it makes you feel so excited not knowing what is going to show up, is all of it going to show up, is anything going to look wrong, is everything going to be perfect. Its fun not knowinging what will turn up, right until the moment you develope your image...
